Site and youtube channel of an old online friend. Talks about obscure RPG maker doujin games. Also really likes Fire Emblem and Super Robot Wars and makes fangames inspired from these series. He also has a Patreon.
Another one of my newest online friends write there. In particular I recommend this article on games that were first announced at Keira Knightley's Brother's The 3rd Birthday Party オブザイヤー and who disappeared.
My favorite French streamer, also makes incredible documentary videos on YouTube. He's covering events in Japan like TGS, Hobby Fairs etc since the late 2000s.
The sole black french games journalist I know besides myself. Does a news roundup on YouTube and Twitch 3 times a week. He's a fighting games otaku so you can also go there on Saturday to play various fighting games with him and other viewers.
Another one of my favorite french streamers and the most knowledgeable person I know about Nihon Falcom and Tales of and Dragon Quest. Knows a lot about anime too. Also likes Super Robot Wars.
Longtime online friend who is also one of the best game journalists I know. You should also hit him up if you wanna play Blazblue especially. Sadly does not like Super Robot Wars.
French otaku who's older than me and whom I've been reading for a while. Speaks JP. Really likes Super Robot Wars and her nickname Exelen comes from it. Some of the old posters and artwork from Animage, Newtype etc magazines from the 80s that you can find online were actually scanned by her from her personal collection.
The most ULTIMATE Japanese games journalist I know. They most notably like Pretty Series and Aikatsu a lot and regularly do interviews and features related to them. Already did articles on King of Prism's influence on pop culture too. The kind of thing I wish I could get published in English lol.
They also properly speak out against racism too. (Realistically they're doing the most you can do in Japan lol. Japan is the one place where it's even worse than English games media and how it barely ever mentions BDS Xbox).
Wish I became online friends with them sooner. Mainly writes on Gamer but also on Famitsu and other sites. Sadly they are not familiar with Super Robot Wars.
My rival (self-proclaimed) journalist who most notably wrote this article I really like, explaining how bad the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the JP government were for using game culture for their own gain, in the middle of the pandemic.
If not for reading this article in 2022 or so I probably probably would be self-censoring myself even more nowadays. (I can't go completely unleashed mode seeing how Islamophobic and racist France is). Mainly writes at Game*Spark and also is one of the hosts of the site's radio show. Is also a rapper, apparently (trying to diss my self-proclaimed rival).
