Full Metal Fukumi Episode 38 - around 39 minutes long

This episode is double the usual length even though I didn't tackle that many subjects. You should listen to it while playing Fire Emblem or something.

I only wrote a short script, so I was mainly in freestyle mode. I ended up talking a lot for nothing lol. Started talking way too fast at the end too, that's my usual bad habit, sorry. But I really wanted to record an episode today as I probably won't do another one soon. Gotta lock in this October.

The main theme was how I wish people were more curious. I want people to check out old stuff more. It'd help them understand the recent stuff they like. Though I ended up going on unrelated rants.

Minky Momo OVA delayed indefinitely

映画『魔法のプリンセス ミンキーモモ』公開延期へ
11月13日(金)公開予定の『魔法のプリンセス ミンキーモモ 憧れの夢へ まごころの二重奏』が公開延期へ

The first Minky Momo OVA in 32 years was supposed to release in Japanese theaters on November 13 2026 but got delayed.

Like I said in the video, Akao Deko is the scenarist for this OVA and she's one of the goat goated goatest anime writers out there, being one of the writers of Pretty Rhythm. So even if I didn't watch Minky Momo as a kid I'd be interested in this project. (Though if I hadn't watched Minky Momo and so many other shoujomuke series as a kid, Ace wo Nerae, Princess Sarah, Attacker you, Magical Emi, Glass no Kamen, etc, I wouldn't have watched Pretty Rhythm in 2011).
Hopefully this will be some good stuff. I also need to rewatch the Minky Momo original series with the Japanese dub.

I wish more people actually watched Minky Momo instead of just watching shock value anime youtubers and tiktokers talk about it.

You should watch more older mahou shoujo series like the Pierrot Magical Girl shows, early 2000s stuff like Utakata, and LuluttoLilly

Self-explanatory.

Kusuriya rant

I need to write an article about how disillusioned the Kusuriya anime made me. At least I didn't watch it alone. Made some good memories. If family members watch S3 maybe I will too, or just read the translated novel.

I completely forgot to talk about the Atelier Maomao game developed by Gust that got announced on the September Nintendo Direct. But I don't have anything in particular to say about it anyway, besides that I KNEW that a Kusuriya console game was coming. Anyone who knows how JP pop culture works could tell. It's one of the sole things I truly believed in my September 2026 Nintendo Direct Bingo.

Metro Quester Zero announced by Thousand Games and Kemco

METRO QUESTER ZERO on Steam
METRO QUESTER ZERO is a dungeon exploration RPG based in a post-apocalyptic futuristic world created by the manga artist Kazushi Hagiwara, with a deep game system designed by Hironori Kato that offers the excitement and surprises reminiscent of 1980s computer games through hack and slash.

So yeah I didn't prepare a script so I couldn't share exact info in the video lol, lemme do it here:

The original Quester was released on Steam on March 15 2023 by Thousand Games, an indie JP developer. Then, they released it on other platforms like Nintendo Switch as Metro Quester, with Kemco publishing. Quester Osaka also got released at some point. And then on April 24 2026, they delisted the original Quester games to replace them with Metro Quester on Steam. It's the exact same games, it's just that now they're working with Kemco for the Steam releases too.

And now on September 7 2026, Thousand Games announced Metro Quester Zero. No release estimate yet. Like I said in the vid, the first two games are really fun, and much more simple than they seem, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Btw it's now the third time I've talked about Quester in the Full Metal Fukumi talk show lol. They're just really fun little games.

I also need to play Monochrome Echoes soon.

Dream Club Zero R + announced for 2027 by D3 Publisher, some talk about Bunny Garden, Super Real Mahjong Venus Returns

I'm a huge Dream Club aficionados who never played the games, since never had access to an Xbox 360 lol. Should try to emulate them soon.

Bunny Garden is not a bad series, but it's not that special either. IMO people feel FOMO for it due to how popular it is among streamers/VTubers, since it's a good way for them to make viral clips and videos.

There used to be way more ambitious or fun or overall interesting galge / dating sims than what Bunny Garden does. So I hope Dream Club coming back will lit a fire at Qureate so they try to do something a bit more interesting for the inevitable Bunny Garden 3.

It's a very similar feeling I have towards sociage (gacha games) like Genshin. I think Genhsin is genuinely a really good game, but like, if it was mandatory to play some console RPGs before getting the right to touch a gacha, a lot less people would have gotten hooked. And all the Bunny Garden characters have what I call post-2020 gacha chara design, in how I find them really uninteresting visually.

Then again, as I said in the video, some of Bunny Garden's flaws, such as the lack of character body type variety, aren't the fault of the developers at Qureate.
