Every Dark-Skinned And Real Black Anime Character Spotted in the Fire Emblem Banshisenkou Release Date Trailer
a black anime boomer otaku's opinions on the june 9 2026 nintendo direct.
Asalam aleikoum how's it going, I recommend reading this article first:

Sanji Kairosoft
Sanji is my favorite One Piece chara with Vivi and Bonclay sama but doubt I'll play this game, no time. I already knew about Kairosoft because I often see JP streamers playing them. I've listened to Asakawa Yuu play some of them several times.
Kinoblade 4
There are a few tanned and dark skinned characters in the trailer but no real black character AFAIK. But I trust Monolith Soft after Kinoblade 3. There's no way they fell for the "mecha dragons and cat people are fine but Black people in a fantasy setting breaks my Immelmann Turn" racist propaganda that the FF16 team fell for, to take a recent example. I'm sure there will be some actual black characters in the game. Maybe even as playable party members just like in 3.

Tanned and slightly dark skinned chara in kinoblade 4
Pretty cool there's a female MC. That's the first time in the series unless you count Elma. Or if you count Shion and Xenosaga. Speaking of which the MC in the trailer talks about her probably-either-dead-or-actually-alive-but-evil older brother fondly, so she is kinda like Shion. Also, it's cool the world looks like La Gias in Super Robot Wars / like a Gundam colony. There's probably going to be some mecha 30hours in.
Last but not least, real cool that they finally dropped the europpajin usajin "chronicles" subtitle, and it's just called "Kinoblade Gackt" instead of "Kinoblade Chronicles Gackt".

Fire Emblem Banshisenkou
I'm still not sure I'll play this at release (unless I find a new job in games media and get asked to review it) because it doesn't seem to take any risks. I loved Fuukasetsugetsu for finally trying something different with the series, so I'm bummed this looks like more of the same stuff Fuukasetsugetsu did.

However, it's giga cool to have an anime game where the protagonists are: Alucard, a brown arab lady, a light-skinned black protagonist, and a black protagonist. Both with actual black people hair. And they aren't dark elves with inverted colors, as in with dark skin but white hair. And all designed by the goat Kurahana Chinatsu of Togainu and Utapri fame.
There are a lot of brown, dark-skinned, and black characters you can spot in the trailer too.

Seems you also get to pick a generic male/female Ahmed Fire Emblem. They're keeping the same system as with Belet/Beless in Fuukasetsugetsu, the tactician in Kakuseif, etc. They seem to be lightly tanned, but have white hair. So in a way they're the dark elves / inverted colors/ fake black characters quota of the game.
Oboro Muramasa
Quite happy that Ice Cream Goods Muramasa is back and can directly compete against Turbo+'s Muramasa on PC in English to decide who's the best Muramasa. Also I guess it's on PC Steam because it's published by Marvelous. So I doubt this means that other Ice Cream Goods games like the masterpiece Thirteen Richard Burgi X-303 Pacific will be releasing on PC, sadly.
Tales of Eternia Remastered
Happy Tales of Eternia is back but also it's based on the PSP version according to the official site, and that version has no multiplayer in battles. The official Nintendo Eshop confirms it's single player too. Seeing Bamco nowadays, I'm not surprised at all that they didn't put in the extra effort to add multiplayer back. It was the whole reason I wanted a remaster. It'd make it much easier to play with my family. But well I can still show them a cool anime RPG with black characters and with Athrun and Kira. Better than nothing I guess.
Atelier Karia
Happy for Atelier Karia / Atelier Yumia 2 (As seen in the trailer, Karia admires Yumia, and there's a older Yumia teaser) but like I said in a previous article, I hope they don't keep making the series more and more mainstream. Atelier Yumia is kinda joseimuke erasure in a way with how it's closer to a typical shonen anime RPG than Atelier.
Nobunaga no Yabou Hishou
New Nobunaga no Yabou is cool, dunno if I'll ever have the time to play it though.
Zelda Toki no Macarena Remake
This trailer doesn't show anything but Kid Link so we dunno anything yet. He looks kinda repulsive though. If it's an actual brand new game and not a graphics "upgrade", if the team on it know what they're doing, maybe it'll be cool. And if they are courageous enough to make it so you can marry Ruto I'll buy it insha Allah
